Gentle Techniques to Support Breathing in Cerebral Palsy

What if you could help your child breathe better—without any equipment, effort, or therapy appointments?

In this special class I taught inside our Facebook group, I walk you through the connection between breathing, fascia, and postural development in children with cerebral palsy—and how you, as a parent, can gently support it from home.

This is one of the most important areas we focus on in WeFlow. The breathing mechanism is a powerful internal motor. It moves the ribs, the diaphragm, the spine, the organs—and stimulates the fascia 24/7. But in many of our kids, this rhythm is blocked or restricted.

In this 40-minute class, I share:

  • How breathing affects your child’s pelvis, spine, and hip health

  • The role of the diaphragm and why its movement matters

  • Two ways to work on the upper and lower diaphragms with your hands or soft sponges

  • A simple technique using a makeup sponge to mobilize the ribs and support expansion

  • How using a neck support or binder helps the nervous system relax and breathe better

These techniques are a good example of how fascia therapy is done. In my ongoing programs, I teach similar and more advanced routines that build on this foundation—but everything starts here, with gentle, hands-on support that you can easily apply at home.

Watch the full class now and learn how to bring more breath, balance, and movement into your child’s body—right from your hands.
